The app
WaterChamp came out on the App Store on 7 August 2026, where it is listed as Water tracker WaterChamp. It is also on Google Play. It is free, with an optional Pro subscription.
- 102 drinks to pick from, each with its own hydration, caffeine, alcohol and calorie values.
- A live hydration level through the day, and reminders timed to it.
- A caffeine curve that shows how much is left at bedtime and the last chance for coffee.
- A blood alcohol estimate for drinks with alcohol.
- Streaks, stickers, and home screen and lock screen widgets.
- Water and caffeine written to Apple Health on iPhone and to Health Connect on Android. Alcohol goes to Apple Health only.
Your drink log stays on your phone. There are no accounts and no sign-in. The privacy policy lists what the app stores and which services receive data.
This website
waterchamp.app has pages for single drinks, three calculators for water intake, caffeine and blood alcohol, guides, and comparisons with other water tracking apps. Each article names its author and the date of its last update.
The drink numbers on the site come from the app itself: its drink catalog, and the same formulas it uses for the water goal, caffeine and blood alcohol. The calculators run copies of those formulas, and automated tests in the app's code check that the two agree. Figures from studies and health agencies link to their source. Where the numbers come from lists each formula and source.
